These glazes can be used on cookies or plain cakes.
Plain Glaze (low carb)
2 cups (8 ounces) Swerve sweetener, confectioners’ style
3 tablespoons unsweetened almond milk
2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
To color, stir drops of food coloring into the glaze until it reaches the desired tint. For a citrus-flavored glaze, substitute orange, lemon, or lime juice for the milk. The glaze can also be flavored with ½ teaspoon of your favorite extract.
Whisk all ingredients together until smooth. Spread glaze onto completely cooled cookies. Let glaze dry completely, about 30 minutes, before serving.
Chocolate Glaze
Add 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
Lemon Glaze
Add 2 tablespoons lemon juice
Ginger-Lime Glaze
Add 2 teaspoons ground ginger and 4 tablespoons lime juice
Cappuccino Glaze
Add 2 tablespoons espresso powder
Almond Glaze
Add 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
Anise Glaze
Add 2 tablespoons lemon juice and 1/4 teaspoon anise extract
