Rich Cheddar Cheese Sauce

Rich, thick, creamy, savory—try this sauce on Cauli Mac N Cheese, use it as a dip (add hot sauce for nachos), serve it over steamed broccoli, toss it with green beans and bake, pour it over Kibon Foods’ “Healthy Noodles”, or zucchini noodles…sky’s the limit!

Rich Cheddar Cheese Sauce
Yield: 2 cups

3/4 cup cream
ounces cream cheese
2 cups sharp cheddar, shredded
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon Celtic sea salt
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
Garnish: crumbled bacon and minced green onions

Warm the cream in a sauce pan over medium heat. Add the cream cheese and whisk continually, breaking up the chunks, while it melts. Turn the heat to low and begin whisking handfuls of cheese into the cream sauce. Add the paprika, garlic powder, salt, and mustard. Whisk until all the cheese has melted and the sauce is creamy. Taste and adjust the seasonings as desired.
